Every year the Community Development Foundation plans for the upcoming fiscal year with divisional goals. Each division meets for planning and vision casting for the future of Tupelo/Lee County, Mississippi. Those ideas are analyzied and specifically defined to fit into the overall goal of CDF - creating new and better jobs for the Tupelo/Lee County area.
CORPORATE
1. Grow and maintain Chamber’s membership base to 1450 members.
2. Increase CDF’s net assets by 2%.
3. Create $15 million in new payroll through job creation.
4. Create $20 million in new capital investment.
5. Establish an RFI for CDF’s next 10-year plan.
CHAMBER SERVICES
1. Grow and maintain chamber’s membership base to 1450 members.
2. Contact all CDF members as part of a business retention/Ambassadors program.
3. Hold a successful and cost effective Northeast Mississippi Economic Forecast Conference.
4. Conduct the Jim Ingram CLI and graduate leaders from the Class of 2009.
5. Hold a successful and effective Business to Business Connection and Taste of Tupelo event.
6. Plan and execute 60 Years of Service Celebration.
7. Conduct the 2nd Annual CDF Membership Golf Tournament.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
1. Create $15 million in new payroll through job creation.
2. Create $20 million in new capital investment.
3. Conduct four existing industry corporate visits.
4. Hold a Job Fair with a targeted 40 exhibitors.
5. Assist six minority-owned businesses with applying for contract work with Toyota.
6. Perform 45 existing industry e-synchronist visits.
7. Create 20 new jobs through the Renasant Center for Ideas’ services.
PLANNING and PROPERTY MANAGEMENT
1. Establish an RFI for CDF’s next 10-year plan.
2. Organize and conduct two public officials training workshops.
3. Provide planning services to one local government outside of Lee County.
4. Update City of Saltillo’s Comprehensive Plan.
5. Create a five-year Capital Facilities Plan.
6. Develop a model of Form Based Ordinance.
