Governor Haley Barbour announced today the location of N.E.W. Customer Service Companies, Inc. (NEW) call center operations to Tupelo, creating approximately 250 jobs. The Virginia-based company surveyed more than 200 locations during the selection process and Tupelo ranked at the top of their list. The customer call center will be located in Hall E of the Mississippi Furniture Market Complex on Coley Road in Tupelo. The announcement of NEW's expansion into Mississippi is the result of partnerships between the Community Development Foundation, Governor Haley Barbour, Mississippi Development Authority, Lee County Board of Supervisors, City of Tupelo, Three Rivers Planning & Development District, Itawamba Community College, and the Tupelo WIN Center.
