Overview

The Planning and Property Management Division has five primary program work areas:

  • Manages and Operates Bluebird Utilities
  • Manages CDF's properties and facilities
  • Serves as the staff for the Council of Governments
  • Serves as the staff for the Natchez Trace Parkway Association
  • Provides public policy and planning services to area local governments

Bluebird Utilities

CDF, DBA, Bluebird Utilities, owns, manages, and operates the water and wastewater system within the Tupelo Lee Industrial Park South. For information please review the Bluebird Utilities section.

Property Management

CDF owns, manages, and/or markets 1,013 acres of industrial property. Most of the land is located within the Harry A. Martin North Lee Industrial Complex, Turner Industrial Park, and Tupelo Lee Industrial Park South. Council of Governments

CDF provides the staffing needs for the Council of Governments (COG). COG is a private non-profit regional planning commission, whose purpose is to broaden the communication and cooperation between Lee County's governmental entities.

Natchez Trace Parkway Association

CDF provides the staffing needs for the Natchez Trace Parkway Association (NTPA). NTPA is a private non-profit organization made up of civic, public, and business leaders along the 444 miles of parkway stretching from Nashville, TN to Natchez, MS. The purpose of the organization is to promote and support the completion, maintenance of the Natchez Trace Parkway and to market its resources and recreational opportunities.
