Airline Maintenance Services, Inc. (AMS, Inc.), a provider of retail aircraft maintenance services, announced today that it will expand its operations to the Tupelo Regional Airport, investing $130,000 in a significant rehabilitation of existing hangar facilities at the airport.
The company will initially create seven highly skilled jobs, with an annual payroll of over $340,000."
AMS looked at several locations throughout the Southern states for a suitable expansion site,” said Corey Gillard, president of Airline Maintenance Services, Inc. “Tupelo stood above all other locations due to the cities favorable business climate and the cooperative nature of the airport board, airport management, and city leaders."
At their Tupelo Regional Airport location, AMS, Inc. will primarily focus on the light turbine and turboprop market, but will also serve the area’s large general aviation piston customers. Operations will officially begin March 1, 2012, but there are plans for open house tours during the month of February 2012. The company expects to draw clients from a 250-mile radius.“
