Chauncey Godwin is a lifelong resident of Tupelo. He is a graduate of Tupelo High School and the University of Mississippi. Before starting a franchise company seventeen years ago (C&N Specialty Foods, Inc.) with HoneyBaked Ham Co. and Cafe, Chauncey had a 25 year career in the garment manufacturing business.
Community civic activities include Past President Yocona Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, Past President Tupelo Kiwanis Club, Past President of United Way of Northeast Mississippi (where he remains on the executive board), past board member for the Gardner-Simmons Home for Girls, and North Mississippi Medical Center Corporation Board. He currently serves as Chairman of the Community Development Foundation and secretary of the Convention & Visitors Bureau board representing the Tupelo Restaurant Association. He is also a member of the Mississippi Hospitality and Restaurant Association.
Chauncey is a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Tupelo where he serves as a ruling elder. He is married to the former Ann Ballard Bishop of Tupelo and they have three sons, John, Andrew and Chauncey, III.
