What we are working on

Every year the Community Development Foundation plans for the upcoming fiscal year with divisional goals.  Each division meets for planning and vision casting for the future of Tupelo/Lee County, Mississippi.  Those ideas are analyzed and specifically defined to fit into the overall goal of CDF - creating more and better jobs for the Tupelo/Lee County area.

2012-2013 Goals Community Development Foundation

Corporate

1. Create $15 Million in new payroll from job creation
2. Create $30 Million in new capital investment
3. Retain 84% of CDF membership
4. Engage 6,000 members/participants through CDF programs and events
5. Increase CDF's net assets

Chamber Division

1. Complete preliminary punchlist in order to apply for U.S. Chamber of Commerce Accreditation in 2013/14
2. Launch the Consolidated Sponsorship Program to generate at least $10,000 in new sponsorship
3. Revamp First Friday

Economic Development Division

1. Build existing business relationships with 50 one-on-one visits, 4 corporate visits, and 4 special events/meetings
2. Study and Implement 3 incubator best practices
3. Redesign and launch new CDF website and marketing material
4. Study and implement 3 workforce development best practices
5. Hold 2 talent attraction recruitment events

Planning Division
1. Perform environmental, concept layout, and marketing for new industrial park
2. Conduct a best practices trip for city and county officials
3. Develop a new CDF Land and Building Strategic plan
4. Complete an entertainment venue market study for the region
