Creating 70 jobs | $7.1 million in corporate investment
Jackson, Miss. (Sept. 23, 2026) – Raybern Foods, producer of heat-and-serve deli-style sandwiches, is expanding its operations in Shannon. The project represents a $7.1 million investment and will create 70 jobs.
Raybern Foods’ expansion is driven by an increased demand for the company’s sandwich products and new customer contracts. To support its growth, the company is purchasing equipment to add new sandwich production lines.
The Mississippi Development Authority is providing assistance through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive, or MFLEX, program. Lee County is assisting with the project, as well.
Founded in California in 1978, Raybern Foods expanded to Shannon in 2015. The company's products include more than a dozen varieties of frozen and refrigerated sandwiches sold in stores nationally.
